MINUTES RBL PARTNERSHIP MEETING

Monday 24th October 2023 via Zoom

Present: Amanda Caldwell; Angela Peaker, Richard Peaker, Rich Richardson, Gary Collins,
Amanda Lawson, Danny Leech, Elliot Collins, Kate Lightstead, Alister Shaw

1. WELCOME AND APOLOGIES (AND ANY DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST)

The chair welcomed the partnership members and apologies were noted.

2. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING AND MATTERS ARISING

The minutes of the meeting of 25th September 2023 were approved.

3. LTO UPDATE

The LTO provided a financial update. The approved budget to the end of the period is £521,650. Of this the amount of £281.300 has been drawn down.
Funding of £24,525 from year 8 brought forward. The amount of £25,000 has been drawn down for
year 9. Expenditure for year 9 is £35,606.93. CFFC currently hold. £13,918.07

4. BL REP UPDATE

The new plan was discussed by the partnership. This is now being finalised with a view to submitting
this to Local Trust in in early November. This will then need to be assessed before any further funds are released. Action: Amanda C and Amanda L to liaise

START: This idea was discussed in private between the partnership without the presence of the Big
Local rep, Alister. No decision has yet been made as to whether we will progress this further. Action:
Discussion to be undertaken by partnership

5. SUB GROUP UPDATES

(a) Community Small Grants

The following small grants have been paid:

St Matthews Theatrical Group – operation sustainable – backdrops etc

The following small grant has been approved and we are awaiting a BACS form

Hypnotherapy from within

A query has been received from Rastrick Cricket Club to fund coaching classes from the Community Small Grants in Spring. We will request a completed application form for review. Action: Danny to contact Rastrick Cricket Club

We are still awaiting monitoring forms for various Community Small Grants

b) Marketing and website

We are continuing to update the website and facebook with local information

c) Treasurers Report

The balance of the RBL account at 24th October 2023 is £533.69

The funding for the Friends of Rastrick Cemetery of £300 is still being held

The audit of the RBL account has now been completed.

6. BIG IMPACT

Rastrick Juniors:

The changing room facility at Carr Green playing fields is now finished. We understand that they have a Community room within. RBL would like to see this. It was agreed that we should ensure that this project and other projects should display a plaque giving recognition to the funding received from RBL. Action DL to ask RJFC for a visit

Rastrick Library:

After various discussions and meetings between the Friends of Rastrick Library, Rastrick Big Local and representatives from Calderdale Council it was agreed that we were unable to fund £50,000 due to the criteria and legal requirements which needed to be met. However, we will continue to support the Friends of Rastrick Library in the future.

7. ANY OTHER BUSINESS

a) Xmas Trees

It was agree to fund these again at the Co-op and the Parish Centre

b) RBL AGM

It was agreed that we would delay this until the new plan has been approved.

c) Danny and Angela contracts

It was agreed to renew both contracts

d. Partnership network meetings

Following the successful events held at Rastrick Cricket Club in September, the representatives from the various organisations are undertaking respective energy reviews. They are due to meet again at the Space@Field Lane at the end of the week to discuss and progress is ongoing. They agreed to meet on a monthly basis and the date and venue for the next meeting is yet to be agreed.
