MINUTES RBL PARTNERSHIP MEETING
Monday 3rd June 2024 at the Arncliffe Centre
Present: Amanda Caldwell; Angela Peaker, Richard Peaker, Rich Richardson, Gary Collins,

Apologies: Alison Mitchell, Kate Lightstead
1. WELCOME AND APOLOGIES (AND ANY DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST)
The Chair welcomed the partnership members and apologies were noted. Sophie Whittaker has now
left the partnership as she is no longer a Councillor for the area. Thanks have previously been expressed to her for her work with Rastrick Big Local.
2. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING AND MATTERS ARISING
As there was no formal meeting held in April, any actions agreed by Email since our meeting in February are noted in these minutes.
3. LTO UPDATE
The LTO provided a financial update as follows:
New budget: £335,000.00
Monies received to date: £155,000
Expenditure to date in year 10, £6,486
Funding held by CFFC: £148,514.00
Further drawdowns are scheduled for September and December 2024 and March 2025. However as we have imminent big scale projects we will contact Local Trust to drawdown the funding earlier.
Action: Amanda L to liaise with Local Trust
4. BL REP UPDATE
Kate was unable to attend our meeting. Therefore there was no update here.
5. SUB GROUP UPDATES
(a) Community Small Grants
The following small grants have been approved and paid:
Musicians Who Care
St Johns – Energy Survey
Roger Davies art workshops
Space@Field Lane family fun day
b) Marketing and website
We are continuing to update the website and facebook with local information.
c) Treasurers Report
The £5,000 contribution from CFFC towards the Community Small Grants fund was received in March.
The balance of the RBL account at 3rd June 2024 is £1033.69.
The funding for the Friends of Rastrick Cemetery of £300 is still being held.
6. FUNDING FOR LARGER SCALE PROJECTS:
Energy project in discussion – partnership network meetings
The independent energy assessments have now been undertaken at each venue. It is envisaged that
work will commence shortly when the necessary funds have been released from Local Trust.
Community worker at Space@Field Lane
There has been a lot of interest in the position and CVs submitted. These are now been reviewed and
interviews will be taking place shortly. This will be a joint role funded by both Space and a grant from Rastrick Big Local.
Community Garden at Space
The Space@Field Lane and Field Lane School are liaising on this project.
Cricket Club enhancement – Community hub
The cricket club are now in a position to commence improvements. It will be necessary for Rastrick Big Local to drawdown the budget allocation shortly. Action: Amanda L to contact Local Trust
7. ANY OTHER BUSINESS
a) Community update meeting: No decision has been made yet regarding a date for a Community update meeting.
b) Plaques: Danny will liaise with the funded groups regarding providing a plaque for them to display to acknowledge the funding received.
c) Data transfer timescale
Discussion took place about the need to retain information for 7 years. We will look at the best action to take in this respect. Action: Danny, Amanda and Angela to liaise
d) WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Planning Training):
Discussion took place about this project but a decision has yet to be made as to whether to take
this forward.
