MINUTES RBL PARTNERSHIP MEETING

Monday 24th October 2022 at the Arncliffe Centre

Present: Amanda Caldwell, Angela Peaker, Rich Richardson, Danny Leech, Richard Peaker,
Elliot Collins, Gary Collin, Sophie Whittaker, Anne Sherriff, Amanda Lawson

1. WELCOME AND APOLOGIES (AND ANY DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST)

The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting and apologies were noted.
Amanda Caldwell declared an interest in the Space@Field Lane as she is now a Trustee and the
Treasurer.

2. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING AND MATTERS ARISING

The minutes of the meeting of 13th June 2022 were approved. As the meetings in July and August were
not quorate any matters previously discussed are documented herein.

3. LTO UPDATE

The LTO provided a financial update. The approved budget to the end of the period is £521,.650. Of this
the amount of £256.300 has been drawn down. The income drawdown for year 8 is £89,150 with the
expenditure for year 8 being £99,046.13.

Funding of £39,192.03 from year 7 has been brought forward. Therefore CFFC currently hold
£29,295.90.

CFFC are still awaiting confirmation from Local Trust regarding virement of the funds between the
budget headings.

4. BL REP UPDATE

The partnership agreed the results of the review which had been undertaken. Anne will now submit this
on-line. Action: Anne to submit partnership review.

5. SUB GROUP UPDATES

(a) Community Small Grants

An application from Turning Point Counselling has been refused due to the same project having already
been funded earlier in the year.

No further applications have been received, to date.

The funding of £5,000 for 2022/2023 has now been requested from CFFC and monitoring forms
returned for 2021/2022.

b) Marketing and website

We are continuing to update the website and facebook with local information.

(c) Treasurers Report

The balance of the RBL account at 24th October 2022 remains at £633.69.

The audit of the Rastrick Big Local account has been completed.

6. BIG IMPACT

Cromwell Bottom: The new cabin is now open at Cromwell Bottom and members of Rastrick Big Local
were invited to an event on 24th September 2022 where Amanda unveiled the plaque.

Rastrick Juniors Football Club: The constructing of the clubhouse is currently underway. However we
understand that there is a delay as groundworks need to be undertaken. Action: Danny to email
RJFC

Rastrick Library: Danny and Amanda have met with representatives from CMBC to discuss the
possibility of a long term project with the library. Danny is due to meet with a representative from Local
Trust who has experience in this area.

Space@Field Lane school garden: Space and RBL have meet with the school to discuss the garden area
and the possibility of a project being undertaken here. Discussions are still underway.

The partnership agreed to re-open the Big Impact fund. This was temporarily suspended at the end of 2021.

7. ANY OTHER BUSINESS

(a) RBL legacy/Space: The Space@Field Lane is being well used with numerous activities taking place
and the café being well used. The partnership discussed an idea as to whether members of RBL and the
trustees of Space could combine to form a separate group to continue in the future. However, it was
decided not to proceed with this route at present.

(b) Xmas trees: The partnership has agreed to fund the Xmas trees outside the Co-op and the Parish
Centre. It was agreed that we should also offer a small contribution towards the running costs due to
the increase in energy costs. Action: Angela to get Xmas tree quote and then contact Co-op and Parish
Centre.

(c) AGM: The date of 14th November 2022 has been agreed at Rastrick Library at 7.00 pm.

(d) Energy Vouchers: We understand that Focus4Hope and Newground are referral parties for any
individuals experiencing difficulty in the current energy crisis. Space would be able to liaise with
Focus4Hope in this respect.

(e) The contracts for Danny and Angela have been renewed for a further year.
