Visit from the CEO of Local Trust

Here’s a photo of members of Rastrick Big Local taken with Matt Leach, the Chief Executive Officer of Local Trust.  They are the organisation who are working with the 150 Big Local areas  who are all working to the same aim – that being to make their area a better and nicer place to live.

We took Matt on a tour around the area visiting various projects including the Woodhouse Play area, Bradley Woods and the Carr Green recreation ground.  We visited the library where he was pleased to speak with Friends of Rastrick Library and hear about the forthcoming work to be undertaken and finally a visit to see the work being undertaken at the Space@Field Lane which is now well underway.  The visit was finished off by a good old Yorkshire fish and chip lunch at the Sun Inn, Rastrick.
